Chaotic 2nd round of the FIA Formula E Championship in Putrajaya, Malaysia
9th, November, 2015
The Putrajaya circuit was dirty, bumpy and slippery but despite the less than ideal circumstances, Villeneuve once again suffered from technical issues as his team mate Sarrazin showed the competitiveness of the Venturi car by posting his highest placing yet in the Formula-E Series with second on the grid and finishing fourth after an eventful race.
However, Venturi's Canadian driver Villeneuve had a less eventful race. Some technical issues early in the day forced Venturi to change one of the engines and shorten the free practice time which again hindered Villeneuve’s race preparation. Jacques said "There was some frustration because we had a good pace but there were some issues with battery temperatures during the free practice and the race and during the pit stop the car was unable to start - ultimately I lost 20 seconds there. A lot of points were lost, but it's clear that the cars are very competitive on the track but so far we haven't been able to compete with 100% preparation. Hopefully by the next round we can have a full weekend of running."
Round 3 of the FIA Formula e championship will take place on December 19th in Punta del Este Uruguay.
